To gain a better understanding of forums, we have two examples from the past for your information and perusal.
Past Forums:
1. Guest speaker Annie Lighthart presented “Poetry & Prayer: Entering the Depth and Breadth and Wonder of Things.”
2. “Spirituality and Poetry”, spiritual practices and contemplative reading of selected poems. Led by the Right Reverend Henry Nutt Parsley, beloved bishop and teacher in The Episcopal Church, retired Bishop of Alabama and Wilmington native.
Ancient Christian spiritual practices combined with the experience of poetry, expanded, deepened, and enriched our spiritual lives as we explored stillness, holy listening, and practicing of the presence of God.
Small Groups Below are several small groups designed for adults to pick and choose based on interests and needs. Join us. We look forward to getting to know you.

Fourth Friday Fellowship Gathering
Each Fourth Friday we gather at a parishioner’s home for food, drink, and casual fellowship. It is a great opportunity to relax together and meet other St. Andrew’s parishioners. Please bring a finger food and drinks to share. If you would like to be a host, contact Donna Grice.

Hospitality
The ancient Benedictine Rule urges the Christian community, “Let all guests who arrive be received as Christ,” a practice that is grounded in Jesus’ words, “I was a stranger, and you welcomed me.” (Matthew 25:35) Hospitality is at the core of Christian life. If you are looking for a way to connect at St. Andrew’s On-the-Sound, and love helping to bring people together with food and fellowship, please consider joining the Welcome and Hospitality Ministry. Our ministry of welcome and hospitality is central to our identity at St. Andrew’s. In a time of some stress and loneliness, a warm welcome and generous hospitality – welcoming each other as if we are welcoming Christ himself – is a balm to the soul and is as healing as it gets! We invite you to join two teams; Continental Breakfast which is offered to parishioners and guests prior to the Adult Forum at 9:10 am, and/or the Coffee Hour Reception held after the 10:15 am service. To help with the Continental Breakfast, volunteers are asked to arrive at the New Parish Hall at 8:00 am to assist with setting out food and beverages, greet folks who come, and replenish the buffet table as needed. Volunteers are also needed to sign up for Hosting the Coffee Hour Reception in the Old Parish Hall. Very easy and rewarding, bring a sweet or something nourishing to share, welcome all who come, and encourage connection. We are building a team of volunteers to rotate monthly; if you are interested in helping, please contact Wendy Littlefield, littlefield9989@ec.rr.com.

Knit Wits
The Knit Wits combine their love for the crafts of crocheting and knitting together with their love of the Lord and community. They knit prayer shawls and squares for friends in need of comfort and then share them after they have been prayed for and blessed. The group also prayerfully creates blankets for the newly baptized. Throughout the years, other projects have been baby caps for overseas missions and comfort items for the homeless, and the local hospital. We’d love to have you come join us at 11am on Wednesday mornings in the meeting room of the Parish Hall Building. Come for great conversation and to join in this beautiful outreach ministry. Knitting, crochet supplies and instruction are provided if needed or wanted. Contact knitwits@saots.org with any questions.
