Bring your beloved pets for our annual Blessing of the Animals, a joyful tradition often celebrated near the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi.

St. Francis, a 13th-century friar, is remembered for his deep love of God, his care for the poor, his simplicity of life, and his extraordinary sense of kinship with all creation. He saw the natural world as a reflection of God’s goodness and believed that every creature had a place within the loving care of its Creator.

In that spirit, we will gather to give thanks for the beauty and diversity of God’s creation and especially for the animals who share our lives and bring us companionship, comfort, laughter, and love. Pets of all shapes and sizes are welcome as we offer prayers of thanksgiving and a special blessing for each animal.
