Pastoral Care
Pastoral Care is a ministry grounded in the Episcopal Church’s tradition of prayer, presence, and sacramental care. Led by Rev. Dn. Susan Cushinotto, this ministry reflects Christ’s call to love our neighbors through compassion, attentiveness, and faithful presence.
Members of the pastoral care team extend the church’s worship beyond Sunday by bringing Holy Communion to those who are unable to attend services due to illness, hospitalization, or limited mobility. Through home and hospital visits, prayer, and conversation, the team offers comfort, connection, and reassurance that each person remains a valued part of the parish community.
Pastoral care also includes walking alongside individuals and families during times of illness, grief, or transition, and helping connect those in need with the spiritual and practical resources of the church. Rooted in the prayers and practices of the Book of Common Prayer, this ministry affirms that no one walks alone and that God’s love is made known through care shared in community.
