About this Outreach
Meals on Wheels is a vital community program dedicated to nourishing and supporting older adults and homebound individuals who are unable to prepare meals for themselves. More than a meal service, Meals on Wheels helps seniors maintain independence, dignity, and connection while remaining safely in their own homes.
Volunteers deliver nutritious, well-balanced meals directly to recipients’ doors, often providing a friendly face and a brief but meaningful moment of human connection. For many participants, these visits offer reassurance and regular wellness checks, helping to reduce isolation and ensure that basic needs are being met.
In addition to addressing hunger, Meals on Wheels plays a crucial role in promoting health, safety, and quality of life for older adults. By combining nutrition with compassionate service, the program strengthens individuals, families, and the wider community.
Through partnerships, volunteers, and generous support, Meals on Wheels continues its mission of caring for neighbors with respect and kindness—one meal and one visit at a time.
