We are blessed to welcome The Rev. Michael Singer as Interim Rector of St. Andrew’s On-the-Sound, beginning his ministry with us on Sunday, August 24, 2025. Fr. Michael brings more than four decades of faithful service as a parish priest in the Episcopal Church.

Over the years, he has guided many congregations through seasons of transition, serving in multiple interim roles across Eastern North Carolina. As the former Transition Ministry Officer for the Diocese of East Carolina, he supported churches discerning new leadership and brings a wealth of experience in helping parishes navigate times of change with clarity and hope. Trained in Intentional Interim Ministry, Fr. Michael is especially equipped to walk with congregations during seasons of renewal.

A warm and approachable pastor, Fr. Michael has deep ties to our region, having ministered in congregations in Wilmington, Kinston, and Beaufort. He and his wife Teresa, a retired public-school music teacher, make their home in Leland. Together, they delight in time with family and especially love being grandparents to their two grandsons, Colin and Bennett.

Fr. Michael looks forward to sharing in worship, fellowship, and ministry with the people of St. Andrew’s as we continue to live into our call to “Come and See.”
