One of the beautiful ways we live out our faith at St. Andrew’s On-the-Sound is through partnership with ministries that care for families in need. Recently, our congregation came together for a Household Supply Drive to support Family Promise, and the response was truly inspiring.
What follows is a heartfelt note of thanks from Niki Bloomquist, sharing the impact of your generosity and the opportunities still ahead. As you read, we hope you will celebrate what God is doing through this community, and perhaps prayerfully consider how you might take part in the next chapter of this ongoing ministry.
Come and see. FAMILY PROMISE UPDATE: A heartfelt thank you to our entire congregation for your incredible support of the recent Household Supply Drive for Family Promise. Because of your generosity this drive was a tremendous success and will make a meaningful difference for the families served.
Also, a special and enthusiastic round of applause goes to Lily Brown and our EYC! Her leadership and willingness to serve truly exemplified the spirit of our church community. We are all proud of you.
Looking ahead, there will be several more opportunities to support Family Promise: There will be more opportunities to help Family Promise in the Spring with a Clean Up that will be arranged and led by Stewart Buss.
From the week of May 4th to May 8th we will be asking for volunteers to assist in making a dinner for up to 3 families or 14 people maximum.
Plus, in the month of September, we will be collecting School Snacks for children.
Yes…the opportunities are endless and could not be done without the generous support of our great congregation.
For further information please don’t hesitate to contact me.
With sincere gratitude,
Niki Bloomquist
