St. Andrew's was filled with joy and gratitude as parishioners gathered to welcome Fr. BJ Buracker and his family. The celebration marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter in the life of our parish and reflected the warmth and hospitality that make St. Andrew's so special.
Speaking on behalf of the Vestry, the Search Committee, and the congregation, Mark Matheny officially welcomed Fr. BJ and his family. "We have prayed for this day, and we have looked forward to this moment with deep anticipation," he said. "Today our hearts are completely full as we celebrate the answer to those prayers." Mark also thanked our interim rectors, the Rev. Gary Jones and the Rev. Michael Singer, along with the parish staff, for their faithful leadership during the transition. You can watch Mark's complete welcome in the video below.
Following Mark's remarks, Deacon Sue Cushinotto offered a prayer of thanksgiving, giving thanks for Fr. BJ and his family, for those who faithfully led the parish to this day, and asking God's blessing on the meal and everyone gathered.
A celebration like this is only possible because of the many volunteers who gave their time and talents. Thank you to everyone who planned, decorated, prepared food, served, welcomed guests, and cleaned up afterward. Your generosity and servant hearts made this a memorable day for Fr. BJ, Kimberly, and their family.
