Children, Youth and Family Update for 9-16-2026

We had a wonderful turnout for our first Sunday back, and it was especially good to see so many children and youth with us. We’d love to keep that momentum going throughout the year!

We hope families will make Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. a regular part of their week. We have some great classes and activities planned, and we’re especially grateful for the volunteers who make it all possible.

Here’s what’s happening this Sunday:

• Nursery | Ages 4 & Under

  
  

  Our youngest children will explore the Days of Creation through simple crafts, stories, and activities.

• Kindergarten–3rd Grade & 4th–5th Grade

  
  

  Both classes will take part in a hands-on service project, assembling snack packs for Nourish NC.

• 6th–8th Grade

  
  

  Middle schoolers will continue their Extraordinary Youth Bible study, focusing this week on the story of Miriam.

• 9th–12th Grade

  
  

  High school students will continue their Bible study and exploration of the Gospel of Mark.
  

Wilmington Area Youth (WAY) | This Sunday, 5:00–7:00 p.m.

Middle and high school youth are also invited to join Wilmington Area Youth (WAY) at St. James Episcopal Church for dinner, games, and worship.

Even more Wilmington-area churches are participating in WAY this year, giving our youth a great opportunity to build friendships and grow in community with other young people from across the area.
