EYC: Twelve Packages, Countless Prayers

Last Sunday evening, February 22, our Episcopal Youth Community (EYC) gathered for a meaningful and joy-filled night together. In addition to sharing dinner and fellowship, our youth worked on a special outreach project—assembling college care packages for students connected to our parish community.

With enthusiasm and care, they put together twelve college care packages, each one filled with thoughtful items and handwritten notes of encouragement.

College students today face a variety of challenges—academic pressure, financial stress, balancing work and studies, navigating new social environments, and, for many, feelings of loneliness or homesickness. Even in seasons of growth and excitement, college can be overwhelming. These care packages are a simple but powerful reminder that their church family is praying for them and cheering them on.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to The Pattersons for generously providing dinner and to Tami Buss for serving as a chaperone. We are deeply grateful for the adults who consistently show up to support, guide, and encourage our youth in such meaningful ways.

Moments like these reflect who we are as a parish—rooted in fellowship, service, and care for one another. Please continue to keep our youth and our college students in your prayers as they grow in faith and community.

Come and See.
