Steve Clinard has been a member of St. Andrew’s On-the-Sound since 2002. He and his wife, Jeanne, recently welcomed their first grandchild and are enjoying retirement after careers in pharmacy and law enforcement. Steve previously served on the vestry as Junior Warden and is grateful for the chance to serve again. He looks forward to contributing his time and energy to the life of the parish.

Jane Mickelson was born and raised in Harnett County, later working for the school

system and then the Criminal Superior Court divisions in both Fayette and New Hanover counties before retiring in 2021. After moving to Wilmington in 2007 with her late husband, Ken, she became an active member of St. Andrew’s On-the-Sound, serving in numerous ministries including Altar Guild, Daughters of the King, Building & Grounds, Hospitality, and the Women’s Walk. Jane is grateful for the church’s support, and she hopes to give back through continued service.

Melinda Rider’s faith began in a small Episcopal church in Mullins, West Virginia, where

her family’s life was deeply rooted in parish community. After years away from church and a season of profound personal loss, she was drawn to St. Andrew’s On-the-Sound through a friend and grief counseling. There she rediscovered belonging, healing, and purpose. Melinda now considers this church her spiritual home, the place where her faith journey both began and will end, surrounded by love and support.

Stephen Schillreff has been a member of St. Andrew’s On-the-Sound for eight years and currently serves on the Hospitality Committee. He and his wife, Theresa, have two children, Grace and Connor, and come from a long Episcopal tradition. In previous congregations, Stephen served as Director of Youth Ministries, Sunday Verger, and Senior Acolyte. In his free time, he enjoys cycling, hiking, climbing, and baking sourdough—pursuits that keep him active, curious, and connected to the world around him.
