On Sunday, March 22, 2026, the youth of St. Andrew’s gathered for a meaningful day of service, partnering with Addie Catz Sanctuary—a local rescue close to the heart of our parish community.
With enthusiasm and compassion, our youth worked together to assemble 21 adoption care packages for cats preparing to find their forever homes. Each package was thoughtfully prepared to support both the animals and the families welcoming them.
The morning also included a special visit from Adelia, who leads the work of Addie Catz Sanctuary. She shared with the youth about the realities and rewards of animal rescue—explaining how unhoused cats are safely trapped, the critical importance of spaying and neutering, the medical care many rescues require, and what goes into a successful adoption.
Her words captured the spirit of the day:
“I am blown away with the kindness & generosity of everyone who came together to make this happen! I don’t have the words to fully express how much this means to us.”
This experience offered our youth not only a chance to serve, but also to learn—deepening their understanding of compassion, responsibility, and care for God’s creation.
