I was born in Harnett County and finished high school there. I graduated from Fayetteville Community College. After that I worked for Harnett County Schools for a number of years before moving to GA. I worked for the Fayette County Clerk of Court in the Criminal Superior Court Division in Fayetteville, GA.

My late husband, Ken, and I were married in 2000 and moved to Wilmington in October 2007. I then began working for the Clerk of Superior Court in New Hanover County and retired from the Criminal Superior Court Division at the end of 2021. I was caregiver for Ken until his passing on November 16, 2023. 

Ken and I were members of Saint Andrew's On-the-Sound several years and I remain a member. I serve on the Altar Guild, am a member of the Daughters of the King, serve on the Building and Grounds Committee, am a member of the Hospitality Committee, and attend the Saint Andrew's On-the-Sound Women’s Walk.

Saint Andrew's On-the-Sound has been very good and supportive of Ken and me, and I want to show my gratitude by serving this wonderful church community.
